Custom Countertops

Upgrade your kitchen or bathroom with iBuildKC’s premium custom countertops. We offer expert fabrication and installation of granite, quartz, marble, and solid surface countertops tailored to your style and budget.

Countertop Materials We Install

Every countertop material has its own strengths. Our team helps you choose the right surface for how you actually use your kitchen — not just what looks good in a showroom.

Quartz — Engineered stone that combines natural quartz with resins for a non-porous, low-maintenance surface. Consistent color and pattern. Brands we work with include Caesarstone, Cambria, Silestone, and MSI. Ideal for busy kitchens where durability and easy care matter most.

Granite — Natural stone, every slab unique. Extremely hard and heat-resistant. Requires periodic sealing but lasts decades with proper care. A proven choice that continues to hold value in Kansas City homes.

Marble — Elegant veining and timeless appeal. Softer than granite and quartz, so it requires more care — but nothing matches the look. Popular for baking areas, bathroom vanities, and feature islands.

Quartzite — Natural stone that looks like marble but performs like granite. Extremely hard, heat-resistant, and available in striking patterns. A premium choice for homeowners who want the best of both worlds.

Solid Surface — Seamless, repairable countertops in a wide range of colors. Good option for bathroom vanities and utility spaces.

Butcher Block — Warm, natural wood surface. Works well as an accent — kitchen islands, bar tops, and coffee stations.

Our Countertop Process

1. Material Selection — Visit our supplier partners to hand-pick your exact slab. We help you compare materials side by side and choose the right edge profile.

2. Template — After your cabinets are installed, our fabricator laser-templates the countertop for a precision fit. Every cutout for sinks, cooktops, and faucets is measured to the millimeter.

3. Fabrication — Your slab is cut, polished, and edge-profiled at the fabrication shop. Typical turnaround is 5–10 business days after templating.

4. Installation — Countertops are delivered and installed by our team. We handle sink mounting, seam placement, and final sealing.

Edge Profiles

The edge profile changes the entire feel of your countertop. We offer eased, beveled, bullnose, ogee, waterfall, and mitered edges. Our team will show you samples during the design phase so you can see and feel each option.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do custom countertops cost in Kansas City?
Material and installation costs vary significantly by stone type. Quartz typically runs $65–$120 per square foot installed. Granite is similar. Marble and quartzite range from $80–$200+ per square foot depending on the slab.

How long does countertop installation take?
Installation itself is usually completed in one day. The full process from template to install takes 1–2 weeks.

Do you remove and dispose of old countertops?
